After the Quake
After the Quake Stories By Murakami, Haruki, 1949- Book - 2002 | 1st American ed.

Would you believe me if I told you that Murakami ACTUALLY wrote a complex female character for once? I know. Crazy, right? To be honest, I can never quite decide if his work is deconstructive of toxic masculinity, or a product of it. Probably somewhere in the middle. Anyway, if you like Murakami's prose, you'll enjoy these stories. Like his novels, he knows how to be -just- weird enough without being alienating.
