a great read for lots of different themes. opposites, big and little, with farm animals, bugs, flowers, dogs. The story compares 2 items by size per page. One item is big and one is little. On the next page, what was big is now little and it gets compared to something even bigger. Has Great illustrations.

This lesson on relative size is beautifully illustrated and will hold the attention of the very young.

How big is a big bug? It's all a matter of perspective. The ladybug at the beginning of this book looks absolutely HUGE…until our view pulls back to reveal the same ladybug, now looking tiny as it rests on a big leaf! And guess what happens when our view of the leaf is altered? Shifting points of view keep this concept book feeling fresh, and the eye-catching illustrations (which range from crisp close-ups to bright landscapes) reward close reading, making Big Bug a great choice for sharing and discussion. To play with perspective even further, pick up Istvan Banyai's Zoom or Anna Kang's You Are (Not) Small.

A book that describes the concepts of big/little. Beautiful illustrations and simple words.

Starting with the image of a ladybug that fills the page (big bug) the artist first moves us slowly away so that what was big becomes small; then the story reverses to find progressively smaller objects on the page. For younger audiences than ZOOM by Istvan Banyai (1995).

A great concept book for little ones on big, little and perspective.

This book offers a way to show kids about perspective. When you're up close the Ladybug is BIG but when you pull back she's small and the Dog is BIG.
