Smashed by Lisa Luedeke was a mysterious book. It was about a girl named Katie who is suffering from post traumatic stress. She is an awesome hockey player who just got a scholarship to play for a field hockey team. Then, a guy named Alec who is your typical popular stuck-up bully, who thinks he is better than everyone else, suddenly has a big crush on Katie. She thought it would be cool to be his girlfriend, but she might have been wrong. This book was so sad because Katie went through so much heartbreak and lies. I rate the book four out of five stars because I couldn't put the book down, it was that good.

This young lady, Katie, she needed to get over herself. Poor, poor baby. Her daddy abandoned the family. Well, it happens to the best of us, including yours truly. With that being said, Katie's mother (I can't recall her name) was very selfish. Yes, it was great that she could work overtime, so bills could get paid, since no child support from daddy, but she spent so much time with her new boyfriend, leaving Katie, who was probably 16 or 17 home alone along with her 12 year old brother for days on end. The kicker was near the end, when one of the kids asked to meet the guy, and the mother goes, he wants to wait until his divorce is final. So, she's messing with a still married man!
