I didn't like how the author assumed she knew what the prophet Muhammad sallahu alayhi wa salam was thinking/feeling, etc. Prophets of God are better than any other human beings, they were chosen by God to convey the message God is one, worship God without any partners, prophets were exemplary and meant to be followed so other humans could be guided to God's path/religion.

A well written book with sufficient background to make for a tale well told. Bibliography was detailed but where are the footnotes? As with Tariq Ramadan's "In the Steps of the Prophet", nowhere is the age of Aisha mentioned, which according to Hadith reported by Sahih Muslim, betrothal at age 6 and consummation at age 9.
