Typical Japanese rubber-suit monster movie. Some amusing character interactions (and note that the Caucasians speak their lines in English, by their lip movements; they're dubbed into Japanese!). If you like this sort of film, it's worth watching -- I do, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wasn't already interested.

English title: "The X From Outer Space." The other commentator clearly approached this film in the wrong spirit. Think of it as the Japanese equivalent of "Plan 9" and it will be one the most deliriously, hilariously inept film experiences you will have. It feels like a movie that would have showed up on MST3K. Combining space age bachelor pad music and design, ultra-low budget effects and pseudo-science, this sci-fi "Godzilla" rip-off has one of the most ridiculous man in a rubber suit monsters I've ever seen. It looks like Godzilla had a baby with a rubber chicken. This is a must see for connoisseurs of bad movies. "The moon's a nice place."

Aside from some really hilarious dialogue and a music track that sounds like it's a band practicing to play a high school mixer, this dreadful waste of time has little to recommend it. Since this is Japanese monster movie to tell you that the monster is a guy in a rubber suite and "it's now on a rampage and headed for Tokyo" would be no spoiler. You can guess what happens when it get there. Take the advice of one of the characters: "Hey, research is fun and all, but sometimes you gotta rest."
