"Lexi is cursed with a dark secret. Each day she goes to school like a normal teenager, and each night she must swim, or the pain will be unbearable. She is a siren--a deadly mermaid destined to lure men to their watery deaths. After a terrible tragedy, Lexi shut herself off from the world, vowing to protect the ones she loves. But she soon finds herself caught between a new boy at school who may have the power to melt her icy exterior, and a handsome water spirit who says he can break Lexi's curse if she gives up everything else. Lexi is faced with the hardest decision she's ever had to make: the life she's always longed for--or the love she can't live without?"--Publisher.

Meh...I liked it, but it didn't leave me mind-blown or absolutely yearning for a second book. It's an interesting idea, one that I haven't read before, and I like that, but it didn't leave a huge impression on me. I read it in almost one sitting (yeah, I have no life). When I read a really good book in a few sittings I come out feeling like "Yes, I finished...awww....NO! I didn't want it to finish!", but this one I just felt like "Eh...that was cool but now my eyes hurt and I wasted half my day. I wonder what's for dinner?"

So, what I'm basically trying to say is it's a four-star-ish novel in my view. Now I'm hungry.
