I loved this book as did our book club. It had many twists and turns as well as little known historical events.

Overly wordy and too drawn out to keep my interest.

This book is much too long - 600+ pages. The first 2/3 is slow moving with a silly heroine. The last 1/3 is excellent, but not enough to redeem the book.

A lush, romantic novel about a young Spanish seamstress who finds herself caught up in the world of espionage on the eve of World War II. A traditional story full of historical details with evocative portraits of Morocco and Spain in the 1930s as seen through the eyes of a fascinating heroine. This debut novel was a huge hit in Europe.

An excellent story of espionage by a woman, about a woman and for women.
