Gideon Clarke knows that in 1908 there was an exhibition game played between the Chicago Cubs and the amateur Iowa Baseball Confederacy that lasted 2000 innings. Nobody believes him because the game in not in the record books. He sets out on a quest to prove that this historic game took place.
