This book, of course dates back to the early 80s but if you like a romance novel, and you have time to read over 800 pages, this is a book for you. It takes us back to the theater of the 50s, Hollywood of the 50s as well and the late 70s. The main subject, Katherine Tempest, is a plausible ingenue as is her best friend Francesca, an aristocrat from Great Britain. Victor Mason, an alleged movie star of that era, is also believable. Nonetheless, this is a romance novel!
