I read this book after working my way through Schuler's New Rules of Lifting for Women. I read it mostly for the lifting routines, rather than for dietary advice, and I've found it to be interesting and entertaining. I would recommend any of his books for lifters looking to improve their success in the gym with accurate, thoughtful information based on the latest science. Schuler isn't afraid to say what he has science to back up and what just seems right based on personal experience and anecdotal evidence at the gym. I appreciate that he's so straight-forward about his sources, as it empowers me to make up my own mind.

I will note that this book is clearly written for a male audience, and there are moments that might make a woman giggle to herself while she's reading. I can honestly say I've never been given the advice before to "bring my testicles with me" for a workout!
