In these sessions, Dr. Brené Brown discusses how people generally associate vulnerability with weakness and undesirable emotions such as fear and shame. But vulnerability is also the birthplace of joy, creativity, authenticity, and love. When we open ourselves to being vulnerable, we open ourselves to experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.

If you were offered six hours of free, mental health therapy, would you take it? If you answered in the affirmative, take a minute to pull up your Hoopla app and download this audiobook.

Well presented audio cd on the necessity of vulnerability.

Not only is this series of lectures life changing, but Dr. Brene Brown is a delight to hear speak. Funny and profoundly relatable, I'll be thinking about her concepts for months to come.

I certainly wish Bellingham Library had this book in a book form. I don't even have a CD player anymore. What's wrong with books?

No one reaches out to you for compassion or empathy so you can teach them how to behave better. They reach out to us because they believe in our capacity to know our darkness well enough to sit in the dark with them.
