A pair of limited series, linked to each other with certain plot details. The art might be a bit cartoonish, but it suits the characters and the themes. The formative period of both Robin and Batgirl are examined in this collection, exploring how they evolve into the heroes they were to become. Outstanding writing and respect to history; the characterization for all involved is just right.

This is one of the greatest collection of stories involving the Bat Family that DC has ever reprinted. The art may be a little cartoony for some, but the story is incredibly well written. There's also a nod to Denny O'neil and Neal Adams near the end. This is a must read for any fan.
