The reviews on this season were mixed, including mine. Personally, I think the show suffered a downgrade from season six to seven. The main cause? The leaving of Michael Scott, which was truly upsetting for the balance of the show. I mean, in the last seasons, Steve Carell truly added so much comedy into the show that we could barely catch a breath from laughing. And meanwhile, that was balanced out with the constant seriousness of Dwight, and the realistic lives of the characters. But once Michael was gone, it was almost as if the show was… too serious. But in now way do I imply that this was the cast or crew’s fault. Michael’s shoes were pretty big to fill, and instead of introducing any new characters that were just as hilarious as Michael, they decided to split out the comedy between all of the characters. In my opinion, that was the best route to take, but I must say that this season did seem a little lost. Between the show getting too realistic and Steve Carell leaving, this sadly was my least favourite season of The Office. @thesoundofcolours of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

The end of this season is the 1st JAMES SPADER appearance. He is in Season * but the library doesn't carry it. Too bad as Spader is excellent in this show.

For me, this season got back to the roots of what made this show one of my favorite network tv shows. The addition of cameos by Will Ferrell and Timothy Olyphant, among others, really added to the funny. Most episodes had laugh out loud moments. Definitely worth watching. For me, this season has me hooked and wanting more like the first couple.
